Psychotherapy Modalities at Wonder Institute
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Psychodynamic psychotherapy considers active unconscious dynamics as the contributing factors to mental difficulties. Psychodynamic psychotherapy takes place once a week and looks to approach the assessment and understanding of unconscious mental processes as a means of learning about one’s self and how to adapt or re-adapt to life’s challenges.
Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy
Psychoanalytic psychotherapy also considers active unconscious dynamics as contributing factors to mental difficulties. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy differs from psychodynamic psychotherapy in that it takes place more frequently–twice or three times a week. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy intensifies the focus upon the treatment and looks to work through on-going mental processes.
