Becky Janssens, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

It is my honor to partner with clients on their healing journey. I offer compassionate and individualized mental health services in a safe and comfortable environment.  People describe me as genuine, thoughtful, empathetic, and encouraging. In my work with clients, I value creating a strong and caring therapeutic relationship where individuals can connect with their natural creativity and explore personal growth.

Whether your preference is for talk therapy or art therapy, I offer both. Putting your reason for coming to therapy into words can be difficult. Therapy that utilizes nonverbal expression, such as art therapy, can allow for new possibilities. My professional training as both an art therapist and mental health counselor offers us a diverse, evidence-based, and adaptable set of tools to utilize as we explore your experience.

I take an integrative approach to counseling incorporating elements of CBT, DBT, Somatic Experiencing, and Art Therapy to help people find deeper connection to themselves, and explore meaningful living on their own terms. I often work with people navigating experiences of grief, loss, and trauma. I enjoy helping people build confidence in their ability to deal with stressors, and navigate life transitions. I am LBGTQIA+ allied, and have expertise and passion for working with older adults, caregivers, and families navigating concerns related to physical and mental changes. I work with adults, older adults, caregivers, families, teens, and children.
