Becky Janssens, MS

Mental Health Counselor and Art Therapist

It is a wonderful thing to witness someone build confidence in how they navigate life's challenges, and use skills they learned in therapy to find greater satisfaction and enjoyment in their daily life. It is my honor to partner with clients on their healing journey. I offer compassionate, individualized, and effective mental health services in a safe and comfortable environment.

In my work with clients, I value creating strong and caring therapeutic relationships, and helping individuals connect with their natural creativity to promote growth, resiliency, and healing. People describe me as genuine, thoughtful, empathetic, and encouraging.

Whether your preference is for talk therapy or art therapy, I offer both. Putting your reason for coming to therapy into words can be difficult. My training as both an art therapist and mental health counselor offers us a diverse, evidence-based, and impactful set of tools to use as we collaborate on a treatment plan that will help you move closer to where you'd like to be.

I use elements of CBT, DBT, Somatic Experiencing, and Art Therapy to help people reduce feelings of anxiety and depression, and build confidence in their ability to deal with stressors, navigate grief, loss, trauma, and life transitions. I am LBGTQIA+ allied, and I have specialized training and passion for working with older adults, caregivers, families navigating concerns related to physical and mental changes. I work with adults, older adults, caregivers, families, teens, and children.
